So lets start with the “building blocks” of toys… Legos. I recently spent some time stacking giant lego blocks with my 2 year old. It’s a classic that never gets old… stacking the blocks as high as possible and inevitably knocking them down with a giggly “boom”. After building a tower and knocking it down, I added a twist to our game and we worked to stack only the RED blocks in a tower; then only the BLUE blocks and so on. This was a great way to re-enforce learning colors along with the classic “stack ’em up and watch ’em fall down game.”
