Your Baby Can Read
I recently purchased the DVD and book series “Your Baby Can Read”, by Dr. Robert Titzer. This is truly amazing. This series actually teaches babies to read. At first, by memorizing the pattern of the words, and eventually learning to recognize the patterns of language to be able to read books that they have never seen before. I’ve only been using this for a couple weeks so far, but my 1 year old and 2 year old both love it. Reading the book with them is holding their attention and of course they love the video. Welcome to the Toy blog
Welcome to my new blog. This blog is designed to be a forum for parents to discuss our favorite topic… our kids. And what is the favorite topic for all children… toys!!! We can share ideas about new toys that our kids are playing with or that we are considering purchasing. There are lots of great toys available that promote learning to our children. Inevitably, we all have toys that are kids’ favorites and many toys that sit idle and have little interest for our children. Sometimes the toys that parents think will be “a big hit” end up having little impact on our kids. This blog offers a chance for parents to share ideas about great toys for our kids. We can learn from each other as we look for new toys and ideas to give our kids the gifts of playing, silliness, and learning… sometimes all at the same time!
